Solidarity campaign funds for war victims
The visual composition prominently features the Mausoleum of Marshal Lyautey (Mausolée du Maréchal Lyautey) in Rabat, the original resting place of Hubert Lyautey, the influential first French Resident-General of Morocco. Meticulously designed and printed by the renowned regional collaborators Marcelin Flandrin and Vacher (FLANDRIN & VACHER), the vignette frames the domed sepulcher behind an array of deeply symbolic imagery. Crossed flags drape across the monument, while the structure itself is prominently emblazoned with the Cross of Lorraine, the iconic symbol of Charles de Gaulle’s Free French resistance.
