Aïn Chock in Casablanca
As part of Morocco's mid-century urban expansion, the Aïn Chock district in Casablanca was developed as a flagship modern housing community (Habitat Marocain). Created to house working-class families in response to Casablanca's rapid industrial growth, the neighborhood combined low-cost multi-family residential units with local infrastructure, including neighborhood markets, schools, and central community mosques.
